Programs

The Waggonner Center will sponsor:

An annual Joe D. Waggonner Jr. lecture on bipartisanship and public policy. This annual event, to be held in conjunction with Constitution Week celebrations in September, will help connect students with the important political issues of the day.

 

Digital archives of the papers and correspondence of Joe D. Waggonner Jr., available to scholars and the public.

 

Future plans for programs include Washington, D.C. internships for political science students, public policy workshops and symposia for students with current and former Congressional staff members, a Congressional Meeting Room, and a Joe D. Waggonner Jr. Endowed Chair in Political Science.
